The name of Warri was created by the Portuguese and adopted by the British as Lagos and Calabar.
Warri Township is owned by Urhobos of Agbarha-Ame Warri and Okere-Urhobo Warri. The Supreme Court judgement in favour of Olodi, Ighogbaudu and Oki families of Okere Urhobo Warri is valid and solid as rock of 'Gibraltar'.

Only strangers will say otherwise. The Olu and his subjects have no land in Warri Township of Warri South LG to validate the title of Olu of Warri Township.
It is time for Olu and Itsekiri people to tell selves the truth. Very simple, they should return to their creeks in Ode-Itsekiri and Benin River to live in them rather than clogging around major cities?
Who will develope their villages and hamlets in the swamps if Olu and his subjects don't return to them, live in them and develop them?
Who will live in them to attract development?
No Itsekiri elite lives in their communities in Ode-Itsekiri and Benin River. They only visit their communities on election days and abscond to cities immediately they cast their votes, including counting ballots for ghost voters?
Olu is a king who has no plot of land to allocate to any agency of government if they request for it in Warri Township.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori made it clear when he said in public recently that he asked Olu to provide him land for building of a modern stadium in Warri Township but Olu said he had no land to allocate for projects.
You can't give what you don't have. Warri Township is in Urhoboland. Olu and his Itsekiri people are strangers in Warri Township.
Every land in Warri Township, they bought from the Agbarha-Ame Warri and Okere-Urhobo Warri people.
The Portuguese and British couldn't have written our history because they didn't understand our local languages,cultures and beliefs.
Olu and Itsekiri people depend on false propaganda written by Portuguese and European invaders that didn't come with wives for the fear of mosquitoes bites that gave them malaria fever so some Itsekiri women became their girlfriends in the creeks where they sailed through with their ships hence they produced a Portuguese king, a mulatto, Dom Domingos that Itsekiri are now proud of as their first educated king in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Is it a pride that Europeans who took your black African people as slaves to Europe became your Olu?
Is Dom Domingos Itsekiri name? Dom Domingos is a Portuguese name and this shouldn't be a thing of pride that Olu Dom Domingos was a Portuguese.
I advise Olu and Itsekiri to grow up and face reality rather dreaming Warri Township as their hometown.
There is no practical evidence to affirm that Warri Township is the native hometown of Itsekiri but there are uncountable evidences to prove that Warri Township is the home town of Agbarha-Ame Warri and Okere-Urhobo Warri people.
Agbarha-Ame Warri and Okere-Urhobo Warri communities are practically located in Warri Township. Olu and Itsekiri's claims to ownership of Warri Township are only on paper but not reality on ground.
Olu and Itsekiri should stop this wishful thinking and return to their hamlets in Ode-Itsekiri and Benin River, period.
